Vpower (Hong Kong) Receives Silver Award from Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department's AEO Program

On 29 November, 2023, the Customs and Excise Department organized the "ASEAN and Hong Kong, China AEO Forum". This forum is the first large-scale event organized by the Customs and Excise Department on the topic of ASEAN and Hong Kong, China AEOs since the launch of the Hong Kong Accredited Economic Operator (AEO) Scheme in 2012. In this forum, Vpower Finance Security (Hong Kong) Limited was awarded the HKAEO Silver Award.

 

AEO is a concept under the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade (SAFE Framework). It represents a Customs-to-Business partnership to enhance international supply chain security and facilitate movement of legitimate goods.

 

Vpower (Hong Kong) has been successfully accredited as a Hong Kong Accredited Economic Operator (HKAEO) since September 2021. The Managing Director of the company, Mr. LI Xiaofeng, participated in the Forum 2023 and said in an interview that Vpower (Hong Kong)'s main business is the transportation of precious commodities such as gold, jewelry as well as cash and banknotes, and the company's cross-border transportation has become quite convenient since joining the scheme. Taking the land transportation of precious metals as an example, it takes only one short hour to cross the border from Hong Kong port to the bank vault in Shenzhen; precious metals trading has high requirements on timeliness, and the company accomplishes rapid customs clearance after joining the scheme, and has received compliments from the precious metals business customers.
